Scott Chernoff is a TV watcher over at Jimmy Kimmel Live. His job is to watch The View and American Idol every single day and cull clips for Jimmy's monologue.
A couple days ago, I turned on the TV and caught one of the greatest moments of Huell Howser that has ever existed, Scott taped it to VHS from Andy's DVR, brought it into Kimmel this morning, and tonight it's going on the air!
From Scott:
"After 14 months of bringing in Huell [Howser] clips, this is a major triumph for me. Now my job is complete."
So stay up or set your TiVo's and get ready to ride the Highway to Huell.

Kick
Often times when i'm working on a project, I get on a kick*, where I'll be obsessed with a certain style or design or effect.
When i was working on VideoGame Theater i got on a huge kick of using old school NES style type face for everything.
When I was making UltraForce I had been watching Terminator so when i made the title for UltraForce, it came out almost identical to the Terminator title.
Now, I just recently became obsessed with copyright-free, old-timey, etchings, collected in amazing, huge books you can buy for twenty bucks at Borders. On top of that, I've been watching A LOT of Terry Gilliam animation, which incorporates said images. So when this pot documentary comes out and all the graphics look very very very very very familiar to the opening sequence of Life of Brian- don't be too surprised.
What I'm trying to say is that I'm starting to get nervous that I'm going to start just dropping in banners that say, "sir robin" and "sir gallahad" or "Directed by Terry Jones."
Still, it's not that bad to be taking influence from Gilliam, rather than, "Yeah, I've been making a lot of my stuff look like closed captioning. It's really influential to me."

NEW! BLOG!
I recently bought myself some brand new shoes. They are an awesome pair of Adidas and they are comfy and stylish and I love them. They came from Zappos.com and were shipped to me in one day. Pretty good deal.
Also, just as recently, I joined a new band! TOWNLAND. The obscenely talented a href=http://www.myspace.com/crosswordtoyourmother>Matt Gourley on the six string axe-coustic guitar; The beautiful soul singing sounds of Katie Nunez on the mouth-vocals; and yours truly driving the rhythm with my fourth-dimensional drum-beat. You heard me- THE FOURTH DIMENSION.
Check out our demos on our MySpace page and stay tuned for gig times and locations of which I'm sure there will be many. Here is a picture of us being dirty and unkempt with a camera about to run out of batteries. Also, we are in a closet.

A silver, four door, 2003 Honda Civic LX, automatic transmission, power windows and doors, CD player(big step for me), and certified warranty! Score! I got a great deal thanks mostly to my dad becoming a negotiation ninja. It's a smooth as silk ride, a quiet purring kitten of Japanese technology. I love it.
Name? I've never really named a car before, but my car is lovingly, if not nerdingly, known as Fourdoor Dostoyevsky. Booyakasha!

Mt Hood got to choke a bitch?
Mt. Hood has been working overtime trying to slay any humans that sashay up it's slopes.
But whatever Mt. Hood tries to do to destroy mankind, CNN.com's awful web writers are one step ahead in bringing about the apocalypse.
Case in point- the screenshot of the headline from yesterday- "Stranded Climbers did everything right."
Except for that little detail of them getting fucking stranded.

Done and done
VIDEOGAME THEATER IS OFFICIALLY DONE. We're outputting the final project this week and then we're going to celebrate the shit out of it.
You are all welcome to join us at the party!
(13 episiodes? Don't worry- they're about five minutes each)
After seven months of hard work, through the night after all our dayjobs, we sent the last episodes off to Italy about a week ago. Next stop, international fame and fortune.
I'd tell y'all where you can see it, but it involves a passport and The Euro.
Come on out to the Knitting Factory in two weeks and throw back a drink with PacMan, Rick Joust, and Donkey Kong!

Some quick corrections
Apparently I entered a bunch of those links below wrong, with my pidgen HTML, and have now fixed the broken links.
Also, Laura asked if I could make the font larger and I cannot because the MySpace blog utility doesn't let me use the "Advanced" editor. The only way I get BOLD and LINKAGE is because I do the codes myself.
If someone knows how I can bump my font up a point or two, send me the code. All my blogs seem to come up the same size which is standard 12 point.
